Kamakura and Enoshima Summer Trip
August 15 to 16th 2023, my first summer staycation in Japan with some international students of Toshidai. We were going to Kamakura and Enoshima to enjoy the closest beach from Tokyo. I enjoyed the trip so much since it gave me the new perspective about Japan. Once we arrived at the hotel and going around for a while, there was one local greeted us, “Konnichiwa”. Such a rare thing and never expect to happen in Japan.
We ride the low-speed train that might be dedicated for tourism to reach every place. We ate Thai food for lunch not for a purpose because I just randomly looking for closest halal restaurant by google maps, but fortunately I enjoyed the food. I love the savory and the spicy food which both I got by Thai food. No hesitation I will repeat the journey to eat Thai food again later.
In addition, I also got the new perspective on looking myself from inside. I realized that it's okay for being alone and enjoy the thing that I want by myself. I had a short deep talk with Zcelina at the hotel and I felt the energy and the support Zcelina gave to me naturally. Having a conversation with Zcelina is always amazing because she is not a sweet-talker and put everything by logic which I really liked. For the very first time ever, I can finally appreciate my introvert personality.
I also just realized that I am not shy, I just don’t want to spend too much energy by gathering or talking to people without a purpose.
